Terms of Service
These terms cover use of the Scany iPhone app and this website. By using Scany you agree to them.
The app
Scany lets you scan paper pages with the iPhone camera and export a PDF to Google Drive or iCloud. It is provided as-is for personal use. You are responsible for having permission to scan and store the documents you capture.
Cloud accounts
Google Drive is operated by Google. iCloud is operated by Apple. Their terms apply to files you store there. Scany only requests access so it can upload scans you choose to send. You can disconnect either destination in Scany Settings at any time.
Acceptable use
Do not use Scany to scan or upload content you are not allowed to copy, or to violate any law. Do not attempt to misuse another person’s cloud account through the app.
No warranty
Scan quality depends on lighting, motion, and the page. Cloud upload depends on your network and the provider’s APIs. Scany is provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Scany and its developer are not liable for lost files, failed uploads, or indirect damages arising from use of the app. Keep important originals until you have confirmed the PDF in Drive or iCloud.
